A Celebration of Oberlin Scholarship
On Friday, December 2 from 4:30pm – 5:30pm, a reception will be held honoring faculty and staff authors of books and other significant scholarly and creative works. Sponsored by the Friends of the Oberlin College Library.

Collegium Musicum Fall Concert
On Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 at 8:00pm, a free performance will be presented by Collegium Musicum, with Steven Plank, director.

Musical Union Concert
Newly appointed Director of Choral Ensembles Jason Harris conducts the Oberlin Musical Union in a concert featuring works by Respighi and Honegger on Sunday, December 4 at 8:00pm. The Musical Union will be joined by the Oberlin College Choir and Sinfonietta, and the performance will be held in Finney Chapel. Free admission. Program: Ottorino Respighi: Lauda per la Nativita del Signore (Laud to the Nativity) Arthur Honegger: King David.

Oberlin Today, Oberlin Tomorrow: Natural History & Our Future
Explore Oberlin’s natural history and resilience to current environmental impacts. Learn about Oberlin’s natural heritage and local natural features and environmental issues with poetry, photography, and student writing. Find out the possibilities of the Oberlin Dashboard, a community wide, real-time feedback project. Consider future scenarios that the Oberlin community will face due to climate change and fossil fuel consumption with entertaining short films. Check out the event preview: http://vimeo.com/31909589

The event will be held on Tuesday, December 7 in the Adam J. Lewis Center for Environmental Studies (Atrium). Gallery opens at 7:00pm, presentation and discussion at 8:00pm and free local food will be served. Presented by the Natural History of the Black River Watershed class with the Ecological Communication class.

Oberlin Theater and Dance Program presents Where Has Tommy Flowers Gone
Associate Professor Paul Moser directs this wild roller-coaster ride of comic sketches, dramatic scenes, anti-authoritarian diatribes and fantasy sequences which collectively portray the life, personality, and politics of Tommy Flowers. Performances will be held Thursday, December 8 through Saturday, December 10, with all performances starting at 8:00pm. Tickets: $8 Public,$6 Seniors/OC Staff & Faculty, $4 Students. A performance of various opera scenes by Conservatory students will take place on Saturday, December 10 in Kulas Recital Hall. Part I takes place at 4:00pm; Part II follows at 8:00pm. Free admission.

Community Sing-Along of the Messiah 
Featuring vocal soloists and string players from Oberlin Conservatory, the annual community sing-along will take place on Sunday, December 11 at 7:00pm in Warner Concert Hall. Free Admission. Donations will be accepted to benefit Lorain County Interfaith Hospitality Network
