Rick O'Donnell '79, sent me the following: "I am excited to announce that my creative non-fiction story, “Eeny-Meeny-Miney-Mo” has been published in the spring issue of the North Coast Review. It is a three-part story. Part I tells of my father’s experience training and serving with African-American troops during World War II; Part II is the story of my first encounter with African-Americans and its lifelong consequence; and Part III explains how pejorative language, especially the many derogatory and racist phrases embedded in the American language not only defames ethnic groups, but also demeans the user."
