Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage

Our next 'official' event will be on Sunday, October 11, at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Beachwood. I hope you can all come out and join us as Mark Davidson, '84, Manager of School and Family Programs, leads a tour of the museum and their October exhibit, "Cleveland: A Celebration of Cultures." After the tour, we will meet at The Fairmount Martini and Wine Bar, in Cleveland Heights for drinks, food and conversation.

The tour will begin at 3pm on Sunday, October 11, and last approximately an hour, however alumni are welcome to arrive as early as they wish to take advantage of the other events going on that day. Visit their website for more information on the museum and for specific events happening on Sunday, October 11. The tour should last approximately an hour, and then alumni are free to wander about as they will.

The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is located at 2929 Richmond Road, Beachwood, OH. Parking is available at the Museum.

From the museum, we will then be meeting at The Fairmount Martini and Wine Bar, located at 2448 Fairmount Blvd, Cleveland Heights, OH. They are about 7 miles or 15 minutes apart. The Fairmount has a classy but comfortable ambience. They have an good wine list, in addition to great martinis, as well as a nice food menu (with vegetarian options). Prices are reasonable.

In order to give alumni time to browse on their own at the museum (which closes at 5pm), we will be meeting at The Fairmount beginning at 5:15pm, shortly after it opens for the evening, and go until 7:30. On street parking only.

Alumni are welcome to join us for both or just one of the events. As always, spouses, partners and friends are welcome.

For the museum, there is an admission fee to be paid upon entrance (whenever you may choose to show up). If we have a registered group of 15 or more, the prices will be $6 per adult, $4 per senior (less then 15 it is $7 per adult, $5 per senior). Please let the ticket office know that you are with the Oberlin Alumni Tour.

Please do RSVP if you are interested in attending one or both of the events, by sending me an e-mail: kmcgirr [at] gmail [dot] com.

Have a lovely weekend!
