About The Oberlin Summer Theater Festival:
The Oberlin Summer Theater Festival's 2011 production of A Raisin in the Sun, Lorraine Hansberry's moving tale of a dream deferred in 1950s Chicago, plays July 8-29, and is directed by Justin Emeka '95, Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater. This classic drama chronicles a black family's ambitious pursuit of a career, a home, love, and the strength to survive in a hostile world. When the Youngers come into a small fortune during hard times, will the unexpected boon bring them closer to their dreams or tear them apart? Both heart-wrenching and heartwarming, the story still finds resonance over fifty years after its premiere.
OSTF is a professional, not-for-profit summer theater company, operating under the auspices of Oberlin College but administered independently of the Theater & Dance Program. The Festival’s Acting Company consists of a combination of professional Equity actors, local non-equity players, and interns (recent alumni and current Oberlin students). They are building a core intergenerational acting ensemble, composed mostly of Oberlin graduates who will return to Oberlin as their summer artistic home to do meaningful work with a supportive community of like-minded professional artists. The company works as a collaborative ensemble to create accessible and bold productions.
Check out more information about the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival (now in its 3rd season) by visiting http://www.oberlin.edu/ostf.
RSVP: As this event was quite popular last year and tickets are limited, please RSVP to the Alumni Office online at DINNER & THEATER or by calling 440-775-8692 no later than Wednesday, July 13th.

Housing in Cleveland
From Joel Heller '06:
My name is Joel Heller, a fellow Oberlin alum moving to Cleveland from DC next month. I am currently searching for apartments as I prepare for the move. I am primarily looking in Ohio City, Tremont, and the western sections of Cleveland Heights (e.g., Cedar Fairmount, Cedar Lee). If anyone has or knows of any one bedroom apartments for rent starting August 1st or 15th in any of these neighborhoods, could you please pass along the relevant information? E-mail is joel.a.heller@gmail.com I will be in town next weekend (16th-18th) to look at places. Thanks!
